CINCINNATI 3-Spindle 5-Axis Gantry Profiler, Fanuc 31i CNC Control, 30' x 15' Table, X=204", Y=84",Z=18", 30HP, 3600 RPM, 40" Between Spindles, 2009 Update.

The 3 spindle gantry was retrofitted with a Fanuc 31i controller and Servos in 2009. When we did the retrofit, we removed almost all of the magnetics that came new on the machine and added more compact relays, power supplies and I/O racks for control distribution. We used the existing wire and cables for the 120 and 24 control circuits. We ran new power leads (Fanuc) and encoder feedback (Fanuc) cables to the new motors and drives (Fanuc). The spindle drives are all 480VAC, Allen Bradley, 1336 plus spindle drives and controls that drive the 30 HP motors. The newest addition to the machine is the Turmoil hydraulic oil cooler that we added last month to assist with cooling the hydraulic oil.
